Margie Cox Hadley

Class of 1981 | 2025 Hall of Fame

Margie Cox Hadley's roots run deep in Goshen, where she was born and raised as the oldest child of Bill and Lora Cox, both proud Goshen High School alumni. During her own (omit) high school years, Margie was an active student serving on the Student Council, cheering at athletic events, and preparing for her future by attending Live Oaks for secretarial studies during her junior and senior years.

After graduating in 1981, Margie's life took her on an adventure with her high school sweetheart, Mark Hadley. The couple moved to Norfolk, Virginia, where Mark was stationed in the Navy, subsequently living in Euclid, Ohio and Bloomington, Indiana. Despite their travels, their hearts remained connected to Goshen, and they ultimately returned to raise their family in their beloved hometown.

The Hadleys' commitment to community is evident through their three sons - Kyle (2003 graduate), Casey (2007 graduate), and Cole (2014 graduate) - all of whom followed in their parents' footsteps by graduating from Goshen High School. Margie became a familiar face at school events, consistently supporting her children by working concession stands, tournaments, and athletic gates.

Her community involvement extended beyond her children's school activities. Margie actively participated in local organizations including the Goshen Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Goshen Recreation Commission, and Goshen Park District. In 1994, she began substituting for Goshen Schools and was hired full-time in 1996, where her dedication continued to shine. Throughout her educational career, she served as a cheerleader advisor, class advisor, and became an integral member of the Athletic Boosters, Music Boosters, and Alumni Association.  I might add she is the Queen of Homecoming Floats as a class advisor- winning multiple years with multiple classes of students.

Today, Margie embraces her role as "Grammie" to nine grandchildren, maintaining her unwavering support for the Goshen Warriors and embodying the spirit of community that has defined her life's journey.
