Alumni Dinner - 2009

The 111th annual Goshen High School Alumni Association Banquet held May 9, 2009, was a very successful and happy event. Approximately 300 former grads and guests attended and enjoyed honoring their classes and the Hall of Fame Inductees. Jim Brown, Class of 1964, Charlene Gibson Blevins, Class of 1990 and Coach Bill Schmidbauer were inducted into the Goshen High School Alumni Hall of Fame. The food was provided by the Eastern Star Organization and was praised for it's delicious taste and speedy service. The tables were decorated with new candlestick holders and filled with candles provided by Cindy Couch (Class of 1970). The change in location from Marr/Cook allowed everyone more room at the tables and allowed the area to be air-conditioned. Appetizers and drinks were provided by alumni members during the hospitality hour. The Goshen High School Brass Band provided music during the dinner. The Class of 1959 had the most attendees and Daniel Heisler and Bea Shaver Ritchey Class of 1934 were the oldest grads attending. Brooke Whitley, Hannah Rogers, Samantha Carpintero, Darren Garret, Melanie Constable, Rachel Deatherage, Nathan Parriman, Amanda Simms, Joe Hurst, Jessica Winterburger, and Levi Wyatt received $1500.00 scholarships. The Goshen Alumni Association would like to thank the following people listed below for their generosity. The scholarships were possible due to their contributions to this year's scholarship fund.
